Kuan-Yin (Kelly) Chen has a diverse work experience in various fields. Kuan-Yin (Kelly) started their career in 2010 as a Marketing Intern at Jenkinson's Boardwalk, followed by a position as a Music Production Assistant at Jumbo Fun Entertainment. In 2013, they worked as a Guest Relations Officer at Huan Yu VIP terminal (Taoyuan International Airport) and as a Chinese Language Instructor at Salisbury University. Kuan-Yin (Kelly) then joined the French American International School in 2015, where they served as an MYP Middle School Mandarin Teacher, teaching various grade levels and incorporating IB values and approaches in their teaching. Kuan-Yin (Kelly) also took on the role of the Head of the Foreign Language and Literature Department. Furthermore, Kelly worked as a High School Mandarin Tutor and a Guest Speaker at StarTalk.

Kuan-Yin (Kelly) Chen started their education journey at Yuan-Ze University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Information & Communication with a focus on Internet Marketing from 2007 to 2011. In 2013, they joined Portland State University for the ALLEX Teacher Training Program, specializing in Chinese Pedagogy. During the same year, they also enrolled at Salisbury University and earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English- TESOL/ Applied Linguistics, which they completed in 2015. In September 2014, Kuan-Yin obtained a certification in Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from the International Association for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
