Michelle Haner has a diverse work experience in the field of arts and education. Michelle has served in various roles such as Artistic Director of Theater Program, Head of Creative & Performing Arts Department, Urban Engagement Coordinator, and Visiting Scholar at the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Education. Their responsibilities have included curriculum development, program management, and leadership roles in different organizations such as French American International School, foolsFury Theatre Company, and Chapman University.

Michelle Haner began their education at Harvard University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies, Latin American & Iberian Studies in 1991. Michelle then went on to complete a Masters of Arts degree in Theatre Studies at The University of Paris in 1997. In 1998, they pursued a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting at UCLA School of Theatre, Film & TV. Michelle later obtained a 2-Year Certificate in Devised Theater from L'Ecole Jacques LeCoq in 1995. Michelle continued their education in 2015 at the Principal Training Center (PTC), earning a Certificate in International School Leadership in 2019.
