Anita van Dam has a diverse range of work experience. Anita started their career as a Logistics Team member for TEDxYouth in 2013. Anita then volunteered at GaiaZOO as a Student Volunteer from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, they founded the startup ReProduce, which focused on reducing food waste and increasing access to local food. Anita was the Founder of ReProduce until 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Prep Cook at The Burning Tree for a brief period. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Work Study Student at the Take-A-Break Dining Hall, where they not only served and cooked meals but also implemented cultural evenings representing different countries. In 2022, they interned at Stichting Wageningen Research. In 2022, they also worked as a Cook at Yum Saap. Currently, Anita van Dam is a Founder in Residence at Fresh Ventures Studio, a position they have held since 2023.

From 2013 to 2015, they attended UWC Maastricht and obtained an International Baccalaureate degree.
Anita then studied at the College of the Atlantic between 2015 and 2019, earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology.
Continuing their educational journey, Anita enrolled at Wageningen University & Research in 2020, where they are expected to complete a Master of Science (MS) degree in the Double degree Agroecology and Entrepreneurship Track program by 2023.
Additionally, in May 2017, they obtained certification as a ServSafe Manager from ServSafe Certified.
