Bobby Mughal

Bobby Mughal has a diverse range of work experience. Bobby is currently the Head of Wi-Fi, Small Cells, and Innovation at Freshwave, where they have been employed since November 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Head of Wi-Fi and Small Cells at Freshwave from January 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining Freshwave, Bobby worked at iWireless Solutions as the Head of Wi-Fi and Small Cells from January 2015 to January 2020. In this role, they contributed to various wireless system integration projects and gained expertise in designing and building multi-technology solutions for high-profile venues in the UK.

Bobby also worked at AWTG Ltd, where they held multiple positions between 2009 and 2015. Bobby started as a Senior Engineer, leading Wi-Fi and WiMAX design and optimization projects, and later became an Engineering Manager, overseeing Wi-Fi design projects and managing a 3G offload project. Bobby eventually served as the Engineering Director, managing the design and deployment of a large outdoor Wi-Fi/Small Cell network and handling negotiations with local authorities for site acquisition.

Additionally, Bobby worked at DSP-Wave Ltd as a Director from July 2001 to March 2010. During this time, they worked on various contracts involving image processing, flaw detection, and radio resource management for third-generation mobile communication.

Early in their career, Bobby worked at The MathWorks as a DSP Engineer, focusing on aircraft tracking modeling, impulsive noise removal algorithms, and RPM engine speed derivation from noise.

Bobby's work experience also includes a role as a Software Engineer at the University of Westminster, where they contributed to a project focused on productivity enhancement for engineers and scientists.

Bobby Mughal pursued their education from 1991 to 1994 at the University of Westminster, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Control and Computer Engineering. Following their undergraduate studies, Bobby continued their academic journey at the same university from 1994 to 1995, completing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Digital Signal Processing.
