Lara Bayne

Lara Bayne has been working in the field of corporate controller for over two decades. Lara began their career at Ernst and Young in 1993, where they worked their way up to senior manager. In this role, they advised management and audit committees of retail, technology, construction, and life sciences companies on a variety of complex accounting issues. Lara also led audit teams of less than five and more than 20 individuals.

In 2012, Bayne left Ernst and Young to join Barracuda as their corporate controller. Lara served in this role for seven years before moving to Automation Anywhere in 2019. At Automation Anywhere, they served as VP of Corporate Controller until 2020.

Currently, Bayne is VP, Controller at Freshworks. In this role, they are responsible for advising the management team on a variety of financial and accounting issues.

Lara Bayne has an Honours in Accounting from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and a Bcomm in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand.
