Ang Zhang (Ryan)

Ang (Ryan) Zhang has accumulated a diverse range of work experience over the years. Starting in 2012, Ang worked as a Research Assistant in Professor Dean Stetler's Lab at The University of Kansas, where they assisted with Polymerase Chain Reaction and Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction experiments and analyzed data to determine correlations between gene MAOA and human behavior. Concurrently, they also served as a Research Assistant in Professor Christian Ray's Lab, managing a small project on the effects of different sugars on the growth of bacteria.

In 2015, Ang became a Research Assistant at UMKC, focusing on data analysis of MS/MS for a research project and using H3 isotope to determine protein binding sites. That same year, they also began working as a Research/Marketing Assistant Intern at Epinex Diagnostics, participating in biomedical device researches and marketing projects, including social media marketing analysis and new product development.

In 2016, Ang joined ArcherDX, Inc. as a Product Management Intern, gaining experience in that field. Ang (Ryan) also worked at Edwards Lifesciences as an Inventory Management Consultant, assisting with developing a working decision tree, recommending enhancements for the Inventory Management system, and creating data dashboards.

Ang's work experience extended to UC Irvine, where they initially served as a Teaching Assistant and later as a Graduate Research Assistant. As a Graduate Research Assistant, they engaged in data analysis and cell culture bench work for a long noncoding RNA Bioinformatics Project, including analyzing data to determine correlations using Spearman's correlation and culturing mouse embryonic fibroblasts.

Following UC Irvine, Ang joined Nutrimark Inc in 2017 as a Business Development Specialist, contributing to the company's growth by leveraging their skills in that area. Ang (Ryan) subsequently joined Freudenberg Medical in 2018, starting as a Product Marketing Specialist and eventually transitioning into the role of Regional Product Marketing Specialist in 2022.

Additionally, Ang had a brief stint as a Research and QC Assistant at Autobio Diagnostics in 2012 and served as a Student Manager at the University of Kansas Memorial Corporation from 2010 to 2013.

Overall, Ang (Ryan) Zhang has gained valuable experience in a wide range of roles and industries, including product marketing, business development, inventory management, research, and teaching.

Ang (Ryan) Zhang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from The University of Kansas, which they attended from 2010 to 2013. Ang (Ryan) then pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology Management at UC Irvine from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Zhang has obtained additional certifications. In April 2020, they completed the MEP201x: Project Management: Mastering Complexity course at Technische Universiteit Delft. In January 2020, they also obtained the Executive Lean System Green Belt certification from Freudenberg Medical.
