David Yuong has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In their most recent role as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Freudenberg Medical starting in April 2022, they have been involved in designing and developing silicone molding processes. David is responsible for creating manufacturing procedures, validation protocols, and bill of materials for medical devices. David also assists in equipment installation and modification of molding processing tooling. David conducts training for manufacturing associates and technicians and ensures processes meet production forecasts and cost requirements.
Prior to Freudenberg Medical, David worked at WARCO BILTRITE as a Technical Services Manager and Chemist from January 2020 to September 2020. In this role, they led the plant Mixing and Lab department, implemented preventative actions to reduce scrap, managed laboratory operations, and developed rubber compound formulations.
Before that, David worked as a Rubber Chemist at R & S Processing Co., Inc. from May 2017 to July 2018. David developed rubber compound recipes, provided technical guidance to customers, and approved test reports and certificates of conformance.
David also has experience as a Chemical Engineering Tutor and Research Engineer at California State University-Long Beach. In their role as a Tutor from February 2017 to December 2017, they provided assistance to students in chemical engineering. As a Research Engineer from March 2016 to May 2017, they conducted hand layup of carbon fiber and performed mechanical and thermal testing of composites.
Additionally, David has worked as a Senior Recreation Leader at the City of Yorba Linda from March 2016 to May 2017.
David Yuong completed their Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Physics from Santiago Canyon College from 2012 to 2015. David then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach from 2015 to 2017.
