Thomas Diaz

Director New Program Engineering at Freudenberg Medical

Thomas Diaz has extensive experience in engineering and operations management, starting with their role as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps from 1983 to 1987. Thomas then worked as a designer at Southern Plastic Mold from 1987 to 1992, where they collaborated with the toolroom and customers to provide mold and product design using 3D CAD modeling.

From 1991 to 1992, Thomas served as the Engineering Manager at UFE CALTECH. Thomas then joined Prestige Mold Inc. as a designer in 1993.

In the same year, Thomas became the Director of Operations at Parker Hannifin (Inland Technologies), where they successfully led the plastics molding operation, growing sales from near zero to 23 million dollars. Thomas held this role until 2008.

During their tenure at Parker Hannifin Corporation from 1993 to 2012, Thomas also served as the Director of Operations and Senior Product Manager. Thomas played a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and managing product development.

Thomas briefly worked as the Vice President of Operations at Aquaproducts in 2012 before joining Balda C Brewer as the Director of Tooling/Manager of Product Development. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing tooling and managing product development until 2016.

Since 2015, Thomas has been working as the Director of New Program Engineering at Freudenberg Medical. In this position, they lead the Quoting and Project Management departments to assess, quote, and launch new business opportunities effectively. Thomas manages multiple project managers/engineers while ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

Additionally, Thomas served as the Technical Program Chairman at the Society of Plastics Engineers from 1999 to 2007. This role involved coordinating and overseeing technical program activities.

Throughout their career, Thomas Diaz has demonstrated strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of engineering and operations management.

Thomas Diaz completed their education with a Master's degree in Lean Manufacturing 1 from CBC in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA in Business from the University of Phoenix in 2009-2010. Thomas also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (BSBM) from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained in 2005-2009.
