Vivian Ball has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Vivian began their career as an Electrical Apprentice at British Steel Tinplate in 1989 and later transitioned into the role of an Electrician, where they were responsible for maintaining and repairing material moving equipment within the steel plant. Vivian also performed basic electrical work in auxiliary sections of the site. In 1994, they joined British Steel/Corus Colours as a Line Operator, where they worked as part of a coil coating production team and assisted with electrical maintenance and repairs.
In 2000, Vivian joined Tata Steel as a Shift Technician and was primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on the plant. Vivian also assisted with mechanical, fluid power, and environmental issues as required. Vivian played a key role in safely isolating equipment as part of the site's permit to work system. During their time at Tata Steel, they developed expertise in operating and troubleshooting within the coil coating production line's exit section.
In 2014, Vivian joined Mabey Bridge Limited as a Maintenance Engineer, where they undertook preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment involved in the manufacture of heavy steel structures. Their responsibilities included working on welding equipment, column and boom sub arc machines, and other essential tools. Their tenure at Mabey Bridge Limited lasted until 2015.
Vivian then worked as a Mill Maintenance Engineer at HEINEKEN from 2015 to 2017, where they played a crucial role in maintaining and repairing machinery within the mill.
From 2017 to 2017, Vivian worked at Lucozade Ribena Suntory as a Manufacturing Engineer before joining PCI Pharma Services as an Operational Engineer in 2017. In both roles, they contributed to operational efficiency and worked on various engineering projects.
Most recently, in 2020, they joined Freudenberg Medical as an Engineer, where they continue to apply their engineering skills and expertise.
