Uma Mishra-Newbery

Uma Mishra-Newbery serves as the Interim Executive Director of FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund since February 2024, focusing on empowering young feminist organizers. Previously, Uma held several key roles, including Initiator and Volunteer Facilitator for The Racial Equity Index, and Senior Consultant for The Better Org. Notably, as Executive Director of Women's March Global, Uma successfully developed strategic plans to reboot the organization and expand its global outreach. Uma's experience spans organizational development, racial equity, and educational roles, including teaching and tutoring in various academic settings. Uma holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Chemistry.
