Tariq Agbabiaka

Tariq Agbabiaka is a skilled professional in the field of microbiology and infectious diseases, currently serving as a Research Intern at the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, focusing on the efficacy of drug combinations against paramyxoviruses. As an Assistant Lecturer at Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, Tariq engages in teaching, practical module planning, and mentoring, while previously holding positions as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Ilorin, where responsibilities included conducting tutorial sessions, executing scientific protocols, and training undergraduate students. With experience as a Quality Control/Assurance Officer at Biomedical Limited and a Clinical Support Officer at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Tariq has a solid background in quality assurance practices and clinical surveillance. Tariq's educational journey includes multiple Master of Science degrees in Infectious Diseases and One Health from esteemed European institutions, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Ilorin.
