Yonnette Moore has a range of experience in the field of education. Yonnette is currently the Head of Lower School at Friends Community School, a position they have held since August 2019. Prior to that, they worked at the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, starting in 2015. At the Walker School, Yonnette served as the Vice Principal from July 2017 to August 2018 and as the Primary School Director from July 2015 to July 2017. Before their time at the Walker School, Yonnette held various roles at St. Anthony Catholic School, including Primary Level Chairperson, Second Grade Teacher, and Kindergarten Teacher. Yonnette Moore's education history starts with their high school education at Elizabeth Seton High School from 1989 to 1993. Yonnette then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in English/Elementary Education at Howard University from 1993 to 1998. After that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College between 2008 and 2011. Finally, they completed another Master's Degree, this time in Educational Leadership, at St. Thomas University from 2016 to 2017.
