FRIENDS is looking for a dedicated and passionate RN professional who aligns with this mission to oversee the medical care of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are served in our Residential Program.
The RN will provide person-centered health care management services by coordinating and overseeing individualized health care plans that include all essential services to meet the specific medical needs of the individual to help ensure the person can successfully live in the community. They will also complete health needs assessments and collaboratively develop person-centered individualized care plans that include all activities and services that are essential to meet the specific needs of the client. Monitors, evaluates, and updates the services listed in the care plan for their effectiveness in a timely manner.
The RN will provide training to care providers and FRIENDS staff including Qualified Medication Administration Personnel training, annual policy reviews, medical protocols, health care plans, and other health related topics as needed.
The RN should be comfortable interacting with a variety of medical professionals and interacting with multi-disciplinary teams.
General Description
Performs those essential tasks related to people’s overall health and medical well-being for the Residential Program. Coordinates care with the person’s team.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Job Qualifications:
Colorado Nursing License is current and in good/active status
Three years’ experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Good written and spoken language skills
Able to maintain detailed documentation, records and reports
Valid Colorado driving license, good driving record and reliable transportation
Supervision
Indirect supervision of staff/managers and/or related services
