Tim Touhy

Tim Touhy currently serves as the Director of Communications at Friends of the Chicago River, a position held since April 2020. Prior experience includes independent consulting from January 2015 to April 2020 and a role as Managing Director at Hawthorne Strategy Group from 2014 to 2015. Tim's background in corporate communications and public affairs includes serving as the Director of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at Navistar International Corporation from 2004 to 2009, and as Vice President at Hill & Knowlton Strategies from 1998 to 2004. Earlier roles include Deputy Press Secretary at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and Manager of Media Relations at The Chicago Bar Association. Tim began a career in media relations as a Press Aide at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Tim holds a degree from Loyola University Chicago.
