Wei du

Wei Du is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public events, program management, and community empowerment. Currently serving as the Director of Public Events and Special Projects at Friends of the High Line since October 2025, Wei has previously held roles including Assistant Director of Public Programs and Public Program Manager at Queens Botanical Garden, and Senior Program Manager at Street Lab, where responsibilities included managing staffing and logistics for pop-up events. Wei's background also includes significant work as a Community Empowerment Coordinator at Poplar HARCA, Project Coordinator for Living Streets, and Projects Development Officer at the Chinese Mental Health Association, focusing on service delivery, community health, and advocacy. Wei holds an MA in Global Citizenship, Migration and Human Rights from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Applied Sociology from London Metropolitan University.
