Shiva Shafii

Shiva Shafii currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Friends of Waterfront Park since February 2024. Previously, Shiva held the position of Director for Marketing and Communications at the University of Washington School of Public Health from July 2021 to February 2024, where responsibilities included leading strategic communications aligned with the school's values of equity and social justice. Other notable roles include Director of Communications, Content, and Digital Strategy at the San Diego Symphony, and Director of Communications at the Seattle Symphony, where Shiva contributed significantly to brand management and community relations. Earlier, Shiva worked as Marketing and Communications Director for the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra and has experience in various educational and media roles, including teaching violin and hosting a classical music radio show. Shiva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University and has completed further education in orchestra management.
