Minju Kweon

Head of VIP & Business Development, Asia at Frieze

Minju Kweon has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Minju currently serves as a Patron Committee member at the Busan Museum of Art & Museum of Contemporary Art Busan (Moca Busan), starting in 2022. Prior to this, they held several positions at Frieze, including Head of VIP & Business Development, Asia, and Head of VIP Relations, Asia. Minju began their journey at Frieze as a VIP Consultant for Korea in 2018, and their tenure lasted until 2021. In 2021, they worked as a Columnist at Kyunghyang Daily News Co., Ltd. Additionally, from 2018 to 2021, they served as the Director of The Galleries Association of Busan. Minju started their career in the art industry as a Fair Manager at Art Busan from 2012 to 2017. Lastly, they worked as a Coordinator at BEXCO in 2011.

Minju Kweon obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Event Management from Griffith University in 2011. Minju then pursued a Certificate in Art History at Sotheby's Institute of Art, which they completed in 2017. Currently, Minju is pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Curatorial Studies and Art Management at Hongik University, with an expected completion date in 2021.
