Jeff Getty has had a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jeff started their career as an Electrician at Leer Electric in 1985 and then joined Tyco Electronics in 1991, where they served as a Maintenance Group Leader. In 2007, they moved to Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.), where they worked as a Maintenance Facilitator / Environmental Coordinator for ten years. Jeff then briefly served as a Maintenance Manager at Fripp Island Resort from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they joined SSC Service Solutions as a Unit Director, a role they held until February 2023. Currently, they work as the Director of Engineering at Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort.
Jeff Getty completed their education at Northern York from 1981 to 1985. Jeff obtained a College Prep degree in the field of College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Jeff also holds additional certifications, including an Electrical Journeyman certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a South Carolina Commercial Applicators License from Clemson University. Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort
Fripp Island is located in beautiful Beaufort, SC and is situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean with three miles of pristine beach. About a mile wide, the island has some 2000 homes consisting of villas, condos, and houses made up primarily of second homeowners with an ever increasing number of full-time residents. The Club and Resort run by Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort consists of five pool complexes, a 65 slip marina, golf cart & bike rentals, four dining complexes, and two golf courses rated top fifty in the state with one being designed by Davis Love III. We also manage over 170 unique homes ranging from villas to 5000 sqft homes. In the offseason, we employ about 100 people and double in peak season in the summer months.
