Xavier Rúbies Feijóo

Xavier Rúbies Feijóo has extensive experience in various roles within the field of research and development. Xavier currently serves as the R+D Director at FRISELVA S.A., a food company focused on international growth and expansion. Prior to this, they were the Director of Technology Transfer at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) where they facilitated research collaborations and license agreements. Xavier also served as the CEO of GTW2Health and as the Director of Innovation and Regulatory Affairs at IHT, a medical device company. Additionally, Xavier has held positions as the Director of Technology Transfer at the Centre for Genomic Regulation and as the Director of Business Development at Biocat, BioRegion of Catalonia. Xavier began their career as the Director of Research and Development at Laboratorios Hipra, S.A. and later became the Diagnostic Laboratory Manager. Before that, they were the Project Research Manager at Laboratorios Sobrino - Cyanamid. Overall, Xavier Rúbies Feijóo has played key roles in driving innovation and technology transfer in various scientific and medical fields throughout their career.

Xavier Rúbies Feijóo has a strong educational background with degrees in various fields. In 1985, they obtained a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Xavier then pursued further studies and obtained a degree in Animal and Public Health in 1991, followed by a degree in Swine Production and Pathology in 1993, both from the same university. Xavier continued their academic journey and completed a PhD in animal health, epidemiology, and microbiology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1996. Later, in 2005, they attended EADA Business School and earned an Executive MBA degree in Business and Administration in 2007.
