Luke Barbagallo

Luke Barbagallo is a seasoned professional specializing in community preparedness and resilience, currently serving as a Senior Program Strategy Officer at the NSW Reconstruction Authority since September 2024. Luke's experience includes roles as an Acting Manager and Project Officer focused on recovery operations. Luke also holds a position as a Retained Firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW since August 2021. Previously, Luke worked as a Community Resilience & Recovery Coordinator for the City of Coffs Harbour and as a Community Resilience Officer at Bellingen Shire Council. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Engineers Without Borders Australia and Pollinate Group, along with participation in the UNLEASH program focused on climate action. Luke earned a Master’s degree in Disaster, Design & Development from RMIT University and holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Business and a fellowship in Sustainability Leadership.
