Michael (Mick) Morris OAM CF is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in emergency services, currently serving as Assistant Commissioner for Metropolitan Operations at Fire and Rescue NSW since August 1990. Morris has held various senior roles, including Chief of Staff and Chief Superintendent, contributing to the organization’s mission to protect lives and property from hazards. As Managing Director of the Samuel Morris Foundation, Morris advocates for drowning prevention and support for children affected by hypoxic brain injuries. In addition, involvement in health consumer advocacy through multiple committees and organizations highlights a commitment to enhancing healthcare quality and safety for families in New South Wales. Morris is a Churchill Fellow and holds several academic qualifications, including an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Charles Sturt University.
