Karl Dukstein

Department Chair, Creative Arts, Design And Humanities at Front Range Community College

Karl Dukstein has extensive experience in education and the creative arts, currently serving as the Department Chair of Creative Arts, Design, and Humanities at Front Range Community College since 2002, while also directing the Visual and Media Arts Program at the Fort Collins campus. Previous roles include ownership of Blackmoon Studio from 1988 to 2014, and positions at the University of Northern Colorado and Indiana University, where Dukstein held various teaching and administrative roles. Additionally, contributions as the Director of Programs at The Salvation Army focused on educational initiatives for families, and a tenure as Master Brewer at Union Colony Brewery highlighted expertise in brewing. Acting in Gatorland's Christmas commercial in 2009 showcased involvement in media and performance. Dukstein holds an MFA in Cinema & Photography from Southern Illinois University.
