Zhong-Dong Shi

Zhong-Dong Shi has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology, with a focus on vector research and development. Currently, they are serving as the Senior Director and Head of Vector Research and Development at Frontera Therapeutics. Zhong-Dong previously held the position of Director and Head of Vector Research and Development at the same company. Prior to this, Zhong-Dong was a Group Leader and Principal Scientist at Simcere Innovation. Zhong-Dong also worked as a Director of RD at Gracell Biotechnologies. Before joining industry, they held positions at institutions such as InVitro Cell Research, LLC, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, City College of New York, and Tianjin University, where their research focused on plant cell suspension cultures and maximizing Taxol production. Zhong-Dong Shi has a strong background in scientific research and leadership roles in the biotechnology sector.

Zhong-Dong Shi pursued their education in the field of Biochemical Engineering at Tianjin University. Zhong-Dong earned both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees from this prestigious institution, studying from 1995 to 2022. Later on, they decided to further their academic endeavors by specializing in Biomedical Engineering. For this purpose, they enrolled at The City College of New York in 2003, where they successfully completed their Ph.D. in 2010.
