Hailey Shanahan

Hailey Shanahan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Hailey started their career in 2011 as an AusSwim Instructor and Lifeguard at Aqua Energy. Hailey then worked as a Student Athlete in Tennis for the NCAA from 2013 to 2016. Following that, they held various roles at Northern Kentucky University, including Supplemental Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor, Research Assistant, and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant from 2014 to 2016.

From 2017 to 2018, Hailey worked as a Medical Scribe at St.Elizabeth Emergency Dept. Hailey then joined the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2018 as a Laboratory Manager/Scientist, where they studied the neurobiology of pain under the supervision of Dr. Jun Ming Zhang. Hailey remained in this role until 2022.

In 2020, Hailey became a Volunteer Assistant Tennis Coach at Xavier University, a position they held until 2022. Hailey then worked as a Laboratory Manager at Koniku from July 2022 to April 2023. Hailey is currently employed at Frontier Medicines as a Laboratory Manager, starting in June 2023.

Overall, Hailey Shanahan has gained considerable experience in laboratory management, research, teaching, and athletics throughout their career.

Hailey Shanahan is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Cybersecurity at New York University, with an expected completion in 2023. Prior to this, Hailey obtained a Bachelor's degree from Northern Kentucky University, majoring in Biology/Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. Additionally, Hailey holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, which was obtained in April 2022.
