Paul Dransfield

Paul Dransfield has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Paul is currently working as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Frontier Medicines since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Theonys from October 2022 to January 2023.

Before joining Theonys, Paul held various roles at H3 Biomedicine from March 2020 to September 2022. Paul started as a Director and was later promoted to Executive Director.

Paul's early career was spent at Amgen, where they worked for a significant period from January 2005 to March 2020. During their time at Amgen, Paul served in different roles, including the Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist. Paul led teams and contributed to the discovery and development of several important molecules, collaborating with other companies and working on various projects.

Paul Dransfield earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Mchem) from the University of Exeter in 1998. Paul then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at the same university, completing their studies in 2002. From 2002 to 2005, Paul undertook postdoctoral studies in Organic Chemistry at Texas A&M University. Apart from their formal education, they have not obtained any additional certifications.
