Yoon Fong Lee has a diverse work experience in the fields of test development, analysis, design, and programming. They began their career at The Franklin Mint in 1989 as an Analyst Programmer, where they were responsible for analysis, design, programming, unit/system tests, and training end users in Hong Kong and Singapore. In 1994, they moved on to work for Telstra as an Analyst Programmer before joining National Australia Bank in 1995. At National Australia Bank, they served as a Lead Analyst Programmer, where they were involved in system analysis, design, and programming. They later transitioned to the role of Senior Test Analyst, taking on responsibilities such as liaising with business users, analysts, and developers to ensure testing compliance with requirements. In 2013, Yoon Fong Lee joined Frontier Software as a Test Development Engineer.
Yoon Fong Lee began their education at St Michael Institution in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia from 1963 to 1974, where they obtained their secondary education. They then pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hons degree in Computer Science from 1976 to 1981 at Teesside University.
