Senior User Experience Designer at Frontline Education

Nathan Major has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Nathan is currently a Senior User Experience Designer at Frontline Education, where they have been working since 2017. In their role, Nathan has contributed to various projects, including overhauling the B2C Educator Job Seeking experience, performing an extensive UX IA audit, and leading the team responsible for introducing Alexa into Education B2B spaces.

Prior to Frontline Education, Nathan worked as a Freelance UX Consultant, taking on projects in both Salt Lake City and Irvine. Their responsibilities included conducting research, creating wireframes, designing high-fidelity interfaces, and conducting usability studies and interviews.

Nathan also served as the Lead UX/UI Designer at School Improvement Network (SINET) from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they played a key role in designing and developing new products and features, conducting usability and design testing, and spearheading the modernization of SINET's front-end design.

Before that, Nathan created Sharkberg Media Group, a media content conglomerate, where they served as the Owner, Head Writer, and Head Editor. Nathan organized and developed the site, as well as managed its content.

Nathan gained early experience as a User Experience Designer Intern at Epic in 2014, a Tier 1 Support Specialist at Bluehost.com in 2013, a Technical Support Specialist at Nu Skin Enterprises from 2011 to 2013, and a Human Factors Intern at Spillman Technologies in 2012.

Additionally, Nathan worked as a Staff Writer at ARPGamer from 2011 to 2012, a Technical Support Manager and Teaching Assistant at Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2010.

Throughout their career, Nathan has demonstrated a strong background in UX/UI design, research, usability testing, and customer advocacy, contributing to the success of the companies and projects they have been involved in.

Nathan Major has a Master's degree in CS Informatics: Human Computer Interaction from UC Irvine, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from Brigham Young University, graduating between 2005 and 2010. Nathan also pursued Middle and High School Enrichment at Cuesta College from 1999 to 2004. Lastly, they completed High School Enrichment in Mathematics at Stanford University from 1998 to 2001.
