Brandon Williams is a national leader in building equitable entrepreneurial ecosystems. Brandon has over seven years of experience in this field, and currently serves as the Director of National Learning Network for Forward Cities. In this role, Brandon facilitates collaborative learning experiences and builds relationships with vision-aligned institutions to advance the work of the organization.
Brandon’s commitment to social justice began during their undergraduate studies at Morehouse College, where they majored in Religion and Philosophy. After graduation, they served as a Ministry Intern with Houston: reVision, a ministry that works with gang-affected youth involved with the juvenile justice system. It was during this time that Brandon developed a passion for working with marginalized communities of color.
In 2012, Brandon co-founded The Lighthouse Project, an organization that provides academic enrichment and tutoring for middle and high school students in underserved communities. The Lighthouse Project is currently active in three cities across the country.
Brandon is a dynamic speaker and facilitator, and has been featured at numerous conferences and events. Brandon is passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with others, and believes that everyone has the potential to be an entrepreneur.
Brandon Williams received a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in African & African-American Studies/English. Brandon then went on to Duke Divinity School to obtain their Master of Divinity in Urban Ministry/Prison Studies.
