Gerson Foks has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Gerson started as an Application Developer at EPHI B.V., where they worked on a prototype for large smart office lightning. In 2017, they became a Co-Founder of InsectoCycle, researching ways of growing food sustainably. That same year, they joined Universiteit Utrecht as a Software Engineer, Digital Humanities Lab, developing software for humanity researchers. In 2018, they became an Application Developer at upUco - Coach a Colleague. In 2019, they took on two roles at Millennials.ai, working as a Software Trainer and a Web Developer. In 2021, they became a Student Assistant at the University of Amsterdam and a Research Intern at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, researching the possibilities of creating an open source version of AlphaFold 2. Finally, in 2022, Gerson Foks became a Data Expert at Nederlandse Spoorwegen and a Machine Learning Engineer (volunteer) at FruitPunch AI.

Gerson Foks obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Science from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2016, majoring in Informatica (Software engineering) / Hogere opleiding Software engineer. Gerson then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Logic from the University of Amsterdam, which they are currently completing in 2022. In November 2022, they also obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
