Head Of Engineering at Fruitz

Clement Dal Palu has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and development. Clement is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Fruitz since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Expensify as a Site Reliability Engineer from 2020 to 2021, where they were responsible for the production deployment and led a project to add Apple Sign-in to their backend. Clement also worked on the PHP backend and C++ database during their tenure.

From 2018 to 2020, Clement worked at Cruise in two different roles. First, as a Technical Lead Manager in Site Reliability Engineering, they led a team of 4 SREs and worked on projects such as creating workshops for new hires, writing a Go micro-service, and developing an internal reliability scoring system. Then, as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, they were in charge of migrating from CircleCI 1.0 to CircleCI 2.0.

Before Cruise, Clement worked at Blippar from 2013 to 2018. Initially, they served as a Staff Data Architect and led the rebuilding of the infrastructure from monolithic PHP to microservices in Go. Clement also set up Docker infrastructure, CD/CI pipelines, and built iOS apps for moonshot projects. Later, they became a Blipp Architect, responsible for building challenges for developers.

In 2013, they briefly worked at WEEZEVENT as the Head of Mobile Development, where they oversaw the development of an event access control application. Prior to that, they were the Head of iOS at Localeezy from 2011 to 2012, where they managed iOS development and API management and helped with business development and product management.

Clement started their career as an iOS Developer in 2011, working as an Auto-Entrepreneur. Clement also had an intern developer position at Active Developpement in 2010. Their earliest work experience was as a Web Developer at Ansaerys Studios from 2007 to 2008, where they created an administrative panel for a popular MMORPG game called Ansaerys.

Clement DAL PALU pursued their education starting from 2006 until 2009 at Lycée Charlie Chaplin, where they earned a Baccalauréat S degree in Sciences de l'ingénieur. Clement then attended EPITECH - European Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2014, focusing on Computer Engineering and obtaining the degree of Information Technology Expert. In 2012 and 2013, they enrolled in California State University, Long Beach to enhance their skills in Management Information Systems and Computer, completing the American Language Institute program.
