Kristopher Fador

Kris Fador leads the Cyber Security Defense organization at Bank of America. Fador’s team is responsible for cyber defense operations, including cyber threat intelligence, access operations, emerging threat analytics, adversary replication, information protection, vulnerability management, insider threat, system and network defense, and cyber incident response and recovery.

Fador has held multiple leadership roles at Bank of America. He most recently served as the Business Information Security Officer for the bank, responsible for managing a line of business relationships and evaluating critical line of business information security risks. Fador also led the information security team in Asia, oversaw the global cyber security assessment function, and led the bank’s cyber incident response organization.

Fador is a graduate of Lake Forest College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and history. He is a 2012 graduate of the Bank of America Technology Leadership Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business. He has been a Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) board member since 2019.
