Astrid Ludin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the financial and regulatory sectors. Currently serving as Deputy Commissioner at the Financial Sector Conduct Authority since June 2021, Ludin has held significant leadership roles, including Chairperson at Grassroot and Manager of Financial Markets and Digital Innovation at DNA Economics. Previous positions include Executive Director at the Institute for the Digital Economy in Africa and Senior Advisor at the South African Reserve Bank, where support was provided for establishing a new division and developing regulatory frameworks. Ludin's career includes a tenure as Commissioner of the CIPC, overseeing the merger of two government components and modernizing the organization, as well as key roles in policy development while at the dti and FinMark Trust.
