Ken-Lee Hokai is a Junior Analyst specializing in Retirement Funds Supervision at FSCA South Africa since May 2022, previously serving as an Intern focusing on Governance Risk and Compliance. In July 2022, Ken-Lee completed a short stint as a Vacation Student at BBM Law, which involved court appearances, legal research, and legal drafting. Ken-Lee holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Johannesburg, obtained in 2021, and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Law at the same institution, expected to be completed in January 2024.

The FSCA's mandate is to enhance the efficiency and integrity of financial markets; promote fair customer treatment by financial institutions; provide financial education and promote financial literacy; and assist in maintaining financial stability in South Africa. This is in line with the Twin Peaks model of financial sector regulations, as envisioned in the Financial Sector Act 2017 (FSRA).
