Kevin A. Lim possesses extensive experience in the financial services and insurance sectors, currently serving as Senior Manager of Life and Health Companies, as well as Technical Lead for Insurance Conduct, at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) since June 2019. Prior roles include Senior Compliance Officer at FSRA and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO), where responsibilities encompassed market conduct compliance and market risk assessment. Early career positions include roles in systems and compliance at Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company and State Farm®. Kevin A. Lim holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing the Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA)
The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). The agency is flexible, self-funded and designed to respond rapidly to an evolving commercial and consumer environment.
