Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Data Analyst to join our team. In this role you will work closely with our clients to help turn their data into meaningful information, enabling them to unlock the power of data driven decision making. This is an ideal role for people who are passionate about using data to creatively solve problems and drive innovation.

The Apprenticeship Scheme

The Apprenticeship takes place over a 15 month period where you will:

  • Gain an nationally recognised qualification in Data Analytics (Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard)
  • Learn on the job alongside receiving external training and coaching
  • Develop experience across multiple projects, clients and sectors
  • Broaden your understanding across key Data and Analytic specialisms, such as:
    • Understanding of the data analytics lifecycle
    • Fundamentals of Microsoft Excel
    • Database Fundamentals
    • SQL, BI tools & Python
    • Machine Learning

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the wider FSP project team to deliver intelligent data solutions to clients
  • Complete course assignments to achieve Data Analysis certification.
  • Assist in defining business requirements for data solutions
  • Wrangle and cleanse data in excel and/or SQL
  • Assist in the production of data visualisation reports using Power BI
  • Produce training/ user manual documents to support the adoption of our data solutions
  • Support our data engineers in testing data solutions through UAT to Production
  • Work with our UX consultants to ensure data solution designs satisfy client requirements
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology developments and promote these within your projects

About you

  • A-levels or equivalent (must have a level 2 in both English & Maths).

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Passionate about technology

  • Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people

  • Enjoys the challenge of a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Have lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 years.
