Jim Cartwright

Jim Cartwright has extensive experience in the engineering and semiconductor industries. Jim started their career at Motorola in 1989 and worked there for 14 years in various device engineering and management roles. Jim then joined Freescale Semiconductor in 2004 and held positions as a Device Engineering Staff Manager and later as a Device Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Strategy Manager. In 2014, Jim moved to SunEdison as the Director of Solar Products and System Innovations. Jim then joined FTC Solar, Inc in 2017 as the Director of Operations, where they were responsible for business development and market engagement. In 2018, Jim joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES as the Director of Product Management, before returning to FTC Solar, Inc in 2020 as the Applications Engineering Director and later becoming the Vice President of Engineering.

Jim Cartwright has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Solid State Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they obtained between 1984 and 1989. Jim then pursued a Master's degree in Solid State and Renewable Energy from The University of Texas at Austin, completing it between 1990 and 1995.
