Mark Makepeace

Mark Makepeace is the current chairman at FTSE Russell and the founder and former chief executive of the same company. Mark has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years, starting their career at the London Stock Exchange in 1985. In 1995, they left to start FTSE Russell, which has become one of the largest global index providers. Mark oversaw the acquisitions of Russell Indexes and Mergent, as well as the expansion of the company into the Americas. Mark stepped down as chief executive in 2019 but remains on as chairman.
