Inside Sales Specialist EMEA at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific

Katarina Rak has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Katarina started their career as a First Master Intern at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2005, followed by a Second Master Internship in 2006. Katarina then worked as a Research Technician at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from 2007 to 2008.

In 2008, Katarina joined VWR International BV as an Account Manager, where they provided products, services, and solutions to laboratory and production facilities. Katarina stayed with VWR International BV for four years before joining MP Biomedicals as an Account Manager in 2012.

After a year at MP Biomedicals, Katarina moved to Sekisui Diagnostics, LLC in 2013 as a Region Manager for North/East Germany. At Sekisui Diagnostics, they were involved in research, development, and manufacturing of Diagnostic Reagents.

In 2014, Katarina took on a side jump project and became a Franchisee for a T-Shirt Company based in Spain. This experience provided their with valuable insights and lessons.

Katarina then joined Fujifilm Irvine Scientific in 2015 as a Territory Manager for Industrial Cell Culture in Central Europe. Here, they focused on providing service and quality to scientists working in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, assisted reproductive technology, cytogenetics, and industrial cell culture. In 2020, Katarina transitioned to the role of Territory Manager Bioproduction for Eastern Europe at Fujifilm Irvine Scientific. Currently, they work as an Inside Sales Specialist for the EMEA region at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific.

Katarina Rak has a diverse education history. Katarina obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science from INHOLLAND Alkmaar in 2004. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Neurosciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2004 to 2006. In 2007 and 2008, they completed a course in practical psychology at NTI Practical Psychology.

In 2009, Katarina attained a NIMA-A diploma in NIMA Sales A from ICM NIMA-A Sales. Katarina further expanded their knowledge and skills in the field of account management by obtaining an NCOI NIMA-B diploma from NCOI Business School in 2010 and 2011.

Additionally, Katarina has taken various certification courses on LinkedIn, focusing on sales and marketing. The certifications they received include "How to Find Sales Leads," "Writing Emails People Want to Read," "Cold Email Prospecting," "Selling to Executives," "Sales Strategies and Approaches in a New World of Selling," "Social Selling: Reaching Prospects," "B2B Foundations: Social Media Marketing," "Inside Sales," "Social Selling Foundations," "Social Selling Foundations: Using Content to Drive Engagement," "Social Selling with LinkedIn," and "Writing to Be Heard on LinkedIn." These certifications were obtained between February 2022 and May 2022.

As for their earlier education, Katarina completed their high school education at European School Bergen, European from 1991 to 1999. Katarina briefly attended the University of Amsterdam in 1999 for economics but did not obtain a degree. Overall, Katarina has a strong educational background with degrees and certifications in a range of fields including neuroscience, practical psychology, account management, and sales.
