Christian Kortleven

European Area Sales Manager Discovery Research at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics

Christian Kortleven has a diverse work experience, starting in 2000 as a Health Care Assistant at Birds Hill Nursing Home. After that, they worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at Université de Montréal from 2005 to 2012, completing both their Master's and PhD degrees during this time. Following this, they served as a Post-doctoral researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute Research Center from 2013 to 2014, where they focused on electrophysiology, immunostaining, and retrograde tracing. From 2014 to 2016, Christian worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, concentrating on synaptic plasticity and cannabinoid receptor signaling. Christian then transitioned to Venn Life Sciences as a Medical Writer from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Charles River Laboratories as a Client Manager until 2020. Currently, Christian is working as a Discovery Research Account Manager at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics.

From 1994 to 2000, Christian attended Staring College, where they obtained their VWO degree with a focus on VWO studies.

In 2000, Christian completed a mandatory English course and received a basic introduction to Nursing Care Assistant at English2000 Bournemouth.

From 2002 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Maastricht University.

Christian then continued their educational journey at Université de Montréal from 2005 to 2011, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience.

In addition to their formal education, Christian obtained a certification in Article 9 from Universiteit Utrecht in February 2015.
