Elli Hosokawa

Elli Hosokawa has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting from 2017, Elli worked as a Summer Research Intern at UW-Madison Biomedical and Genomic Research Group, conducting research in the Shanmuganayagam Lab. In 2017, Elli also began working as a Front End Cashier at Metro Market, where they gained customer service and cashiering skills until 2019.

In 2019, Elli joined UW-Madison, Division of Information Technology (DoIT) as a DoIT Helpdesk Agent. In this role, they provided customer service and support to users, both on and off-campus, through various communication channels. They also collaborated with other DoIT staff to resolve customer inquiries.

In 2022, Elli worked as a Quality Assurance Intern at Elephas, where they gained experience in quality assurance processes. Later in the same year, they became an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UW-Madison Murphy Bioinspired Materials Group, contributing to research projects until 2023.

In 2023, Elli became an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for InterEGR-170: Design Practicum at UW-Madison College of Engineering, providing support and guidance to students. Currently, Elli works as a Research and Development Specialist - Neurotherapeutics at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics. Their responsibilities include designing, performing, and analyzing experiments with neural stem cell lines for cellular therapies. They also contribute to writing protocols, technical reports, and documentation.

Elli Hosokawa began their educational journey in 2019 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Elli pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, which they completed in 2023. Alongside their major, Elli also enrolled for a Certificate program in Biology in Engineering, which they earned between 2020 and 2022.
