Laboratory Automation Associate at Haystack Oncology

Nadine Balcorta's work experience begins in 2016 as a Junior Lab Technician at the Hampton University Skin of Color Research Institute, where they utilized animal models and cell culture to explore genetic pathways affecting vascular development. Nadine also gained experience in performing dose response assays and maintaining cell lines.

In 2017, Nadine joined Virginia Commonwealth University as a Lab Technician, where they utilized Xenopus laevis embryos to study the effect of chemicals in electronic cigarettes on orofacial development. Nadine performed various assays and techniques to investigate the link between chemicals and their impact on facial landmarks.

In 2018, Nadine started working at PPD as an Assistant Scientist in the Hamilton Automations team. Nadine conducted routine to complex sample preparation and procedures related to opsonophagocytic and serum bactericidal assays. Nadine was also qualified to follow GLP and GMP Hamilton protocols.

Nadine had a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and conducted complex analysis with increased independence. Nadine also conducted a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds.
