Rebecca Selzer, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership and research roles. Rebecca is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Research and Development at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, where they lead a team focusing on induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) research and development. Rebecca'sresponsibilities include collaboration for portfolio development, talent and capability building, and ensuring the success of R&D outcomes.

Prior to their current role, Selzer worked at Roche NimbleGen Inc., where they held multiple positions. Rebecca served as the Site Head and Head of Operations, leading a cross-functional site that delivered product development, manufacturing, and customer and site support functions. Additionally, they were the President & CEO of the site, managing it as a stand-alone business during a divisional restructuring.

Before joining Roche NimbleGen Inc., Selzer also held the position of Vice President of Product Development & Project Leader, where they oversaw the development of microarray products across various R&D departments. Rebecca ensured the successful launch of products within set timelines and budgets. Prior to that, as the Senior Director of Array and Applications Development, they played a critical role in launching new products in different application areas on a next-gen microarray platform.

Selzer's early career includes roles at NimbleGen Systems, Inc., where they served as the Director of Molecular Research and later as a Senior Scientist in Research & Development. During this time, they led the development and optimization of microarray product lines and established new application workflows.

Rebecca began their career as a Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they established a research lab in the Department of Anesthesiology. Rebecca'swork focused on potential diagnostic tools for perioperative screening of patients.

Selzer's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institute on Aging (NIA) - NIH.

Rebecca Selzer, PhD, obtained their high school diploma from Amana High School in the years 1984 to 1988. Rebecca then pursued their undergraduate education at the University of Miami from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science/Biology. Rebecca's academic journey continued at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1992 to 1997, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Toxicology.
