Andrew Nelson

Andrew Nelson, P.E. has over 13 years of work experience in rotating equipment engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Rotating Equipment Engineer at Fulcrum BioEnergy, Inc. Prior to this, they were a Rotating Equipment Lead and Lead Reliability Engineer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation from 2018-2021, a Machinery Reliability Engineer at Andeavor from 2015-2018, and a Machinery Reliability Engineer at Tesoro Corporation in 2015. From 2008-2015, they were a Rotating Equipment Engineer at Fluor, where they selected and purchased rotating equipment for energy, chemical, and power FEED and EPC Projects, developed project specifications and equipment datasheets, performed bid evaluations, reviewed and approved vendor drawings, and witnessed and approved shop performance tests.

Andrew Nelson, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2005 to 2008. In 2011, they obtained a California PE License from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
