Fulcrum Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on improving the lives of patients with genetically defined rare diseases in areas of high unmet medical need. Fulcrum’s two lead programs in clinical development are losmapimod, a small molecule for the treatment of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and pociredir, a small molecule designed to increase expression of fetal hemoglobin for the treatment of sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies. The company’s proprietary product engine identifies drug targets that can modulate gene expression to treat the known root cause of gene mis-expression.

 

Description

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Manager, Administrative Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the administrative department and staff members. This role involves managing a team of administrative professionals, coordinating administrative support functions, and ensuring efficient office operations. This person will work closely with other departments to provide administrative support and contribute to the overall success of the organization.  This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to perform similar duties while monitoring the bandwidth of your reports and act as an expert and source of knowledge for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative oversight to the C-suite (CEO, CFO, CCO) including calendar management, scheduling meetings, meeting preparation, travel, organizing JP Morgan conference travel/meetings, expense tracking, document proofing, project management.
  • Supervise and manage a team of administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Manage budget for administrative services, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and implement policies/procedures to improve administrative efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as primary point of contact for the Board of Directors: schedule all meetings, assist in preparing materials for distribution owning & driving the timeline, build relationships with members and their assistants.
  • Plan and execute key company events like BOD meetings/dinners, All Hands company meeting, social events, offsites, etc.
  • Collaborate with other managers and departments to support company goals and initiatives. Partner with Finance team working closely with our IR firm (schedule investor meetings); People Experience to support various initiatives; Med Affairs to support KOL initiatives, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed; operations/office project management.

 

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in administrative management, with at least 3 plus years in a supervisory role and experience supporting C-Suite executives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.
  • Comfortable executing in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and streamline processes.
