Laura De la Rosa

Laura De la Rosa has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles. In their current role as a New Product Introduction Engineer at Fulfil, they are responsible for overseeing the introduction of new products. Prior to this, Laura worked as a New Product Introduction/Lean Manufacturing Engineer at an undisclosed company from September 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they served as a program manager, lean manufacturing engineer, and cost reduction consultant, and also handled additive manufacturing designs and project implementation for a small metal/mechanics company in Mexico.

Before that, Laura worked at Calsonic Kansei Mexicana from August 2015 to August 2018 as a New Product Introduction Engineer. Laura managed new programs and led cross-functional teams in engineering, design, quality, production control, production, sales, services, finances, and direct labor. Additionally, Laura served as a Project Manager of New Product Launch, where they ensured the smooth transition of products from concept to pilot line production and into mass manufacturing. Laura also managed new programs from request-for-quote (RFQ) to start of production (SOP) phases.

Prior to their role at Calsonic Kansei Mexicana, Laura worked as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Donaldson from February 2012 to June 2014. Laura successfully implemented the Donaldson Production System, based on the Toyota production system, at a new air filters plant. Laura also owned and led monthly cost reduction plant metrics and reported them to top management.

Laura's early work experience includes a role as a Process Engineer at Mainsteel from September 2009 to February 2012. In this position, they optimized new production processes for safety, yield, capacity, and cost-effectiveness. Laura also implemented lean manufacturing best practices, designed and implemented new fixtures to improve efficiency, and eliminated two processes while increasing production output by 5%.

Laura De la Rosa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aguascalientes from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications in Karrass Effective Negotiating from the institution Karrass in September 2015 and in DCI Lean certification at the Bronze level from Donaldson in January 2013.
