James McCarter

VP, Radioisotopes Research and Development at Full-Life Technologies

James McCarter has held various roles in the field of radioisotopes research and development since 2003. From 2003-2007, they were a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia, as well as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Jefferson Lab. In 2007, they became an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Nelson Community College. In 2014, they began working at Niowave, Inc. as an Accelerator Physicist where they co-managed and directed a team of 13 engineers and physicists. In 2018, they joined NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, LLC as Manager of Irradiation, Lead Engineer, and Senior Systems Engineer. Most recently, in 2022, they became the VP of Radioisotopes Research and Development at Full-Life Technologies.

James McCarter earned a B.A in Physics and Echols Interdisciplinary in Drama/Psychology from the University of Virginia, College of Arts and Sciences in 2004. James then went on to earn a PhD in Engineering Physics from the same university in 2012.
