About the role

There are many positive developments on the horizon at Fullers360 - if there was a ever a time to join Fullers360 the time is now! This role as Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor reports into the General Manager - Health, Safety and Risk and forms part of the wider People Team based in the historic Ferry Building in Auckland CBD.

In this role you'll be responsible for providing pragmatic safety advice to operational and support areas across Fullers360 and its subsidiaries (The Fullers Group). This will see you promote, champion, and drive continual improvement in health, safety, and risk management in order to create a positive health and safety culture.

This role will include a focus on wellness, wellbeing, injury management and rehabilitation, but you will also take ownership over health, safety and risk across all areas as needed alongside the rest of the Health & Safety Team.

About you

Due to the nature of the role you'll need to hold at least 2 - 3 years’ experience in a safety role at an Advisor level with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

You'll be a people centric go-getter with the ability to implement ideas and suggestions effectively by pulling in the necessary stakeholders when needed. 

Key for success:

  • Direct working expertise in wellbeing programmes, injury management, harm reduction, and prevention, including the framework as it pertains to ACC and AEP.

  • Solid legislative and technical knowledge in health and safety.

  • Able to develop and implement systems for monitoring.

  • Advanced reporting skills with good attention to detail.

  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to influence, motivate, educate, and obtain collaboration and cooperation.

  • Highly developed documentation, report and workflow process writing skills.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, leadership, behavioral change, and facilitation skills.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Exposure to a safety role in industries that may include, but are not limited to, public transport, heavy transport road freight, engineering, manufacturing, or construction.

  • Interest in 'safety differently' or 'safety II'.

  • An understanding of how fatigue impacts workers that are involved in dynamic and ever-changing shift work patterns.
