Steve Pines has a diverse work experience in the education industry. Steve served as the Chief of Strategic Partnerships at iTutor.com Inc., where they played a vital role in providing instructional platforms for students and school administrators. Before that, they founded their own company called Steve Pines Education Solutions, LLC, where they worked as the Founder and CEO. In this role, they supported clients in obtaining new partnerships and worked on various projects related to online learning tools and procurement.

Steve also worked as a Business Strategist at Noodle Markets, the first national digital marketplace for K-12 purchasing, and served as the Executive Director of the Education Industry Association, where they collaborated with education service providers to form strategic partnerships and advocated for the private education sector.

Earlier in their career, Pines worked at Sylvan Learning Systems as a VP, where they pioneered the delivery of computer-assisted/blended learning and created new business ventures. Steve also served as the Deputy Director at The Enterprise Foundation and played a significant role in revitalizing distressed urban neighborhoods.

Additionally, Pines worked in the National Alliance of Business, where they created recognition programs for companies employing low-income youth and advanced policies promoting business-school partnerships. Steve also obtained a federal grant to provide technical assistance to local career and technical education programs. Lastly, they worked as a Legislative Research Analyst at the National Association of Counties.

Steve Pines has a strong education history. Steve completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Hobart and William Smith Colleges from 1970 to 1974. Steve then pursued a Master's degree in Ed Psych at the University of Connecticut from 1975 to 1976. Continuing their educational journey, they obtained an MBA in Marketing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville between 1986 and 1987.

In addition to their formal education, Steve Pines has also acquired additional certifications. In 2016, they participated in the ASU GSV Summit and obtained a certification from the institution. Steve has also completed the Community Emergency Response Team training offered by Fairfax County, VA and FEMA, although the specific dates are unknown.
