Yrik-Max Valentonis has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Yrik-Max started their career in 1986 as a Writer & Artist, where they created and published various forms of content including stories, poems, essays, cartoons, and illustrations. Yrik-Max also created and maintained websites, blogs, and social networking platforms, and produced limited edition book art and print on demand publications.

In 2000, Yrik-Max joined Verizon Data Services and worked as a Release Management Lead. Yrik-Max supervised the Configuration Management team, provided second-tier support, and played a key role in designing, testing, and implementing automation tools for over 400 projects.

Yrik-Max also held positions at Pilgrim Software, Syslogic Professional Technical Staffing (contracted to Verizon Data Services), and Healthesystems. At Pilgrim Software, they worked as a Sr. Release Engineer and was responsible for implementing the Change Control Management process for supported applications. During their time at Syslogic Professional Technical Staffing, they served as a Release Manager and supported the Configuration Management team while troubleshooting issues.

At Healthesystems, Yrik-Max held two roles. As a Supervisor in Software Configuration Management, they supervised a team of Release Engineers and implemented technical solutions for service restarts and network load balancing. Later, they took on the role of a Senior Deployment Engineer, where they played a crucial role in implementing the Software Development Life Cycle process for code migration and maintained deployment processes using various tools and scripts.

In 2005, Yrik-Max worked as a Martial Arts Instructor at Florida Academy of Don Jitsu Ryu. Yrik-Max managed the Palm Harbor branch school and shop, and instructed students in the Don Jitsu Ryu Martial Arts system, including personal fitness, self-control, weight management, meditation, yoga, and self-defense.

Yrik-Max also has experience in the field of education. Yrik-Max worked as an Adjunct English Instructor at Nova Southeastern University, where they taught English and American Literature to college-level students. Yrik-Max prepared research, handouts, and testing material, and analyzed the grammar, writing competency, and literary analysis of students.

More recently, Yrik-Max has been employed by ClearPrice Networks as the Lead for Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Cloud Engineering. In this role, they have been responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices for Cloud infrastructure, security, and provisioning, as well as documenting and designing various processes.

In 2022, Yrik-Max joined Fullsteam as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they currently work.

Yrik-Max Valentonis completed a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Poetry, Prose, and Poetics from Naropa University, which took place from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in English and American Literature from the University of South Florida, where they studied from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their academic achievements, Yrik-Max Valentonis has obtained several certifications. Yrik-Max acquired TestComplete certification from SmartBear Academy in November 2016. Furthermore, they achieved the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master (SSM) from Scaled Agile, Inc. in August 2020.
