Brigitte Bailey has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles and industries. Brigitte started their career in 1990 as a Financial Services Representative at Citibank (Banamex USA) and then worked as a Personal Trust Fee Administrator at The Northern Trust Company in 1992. In 1993, they joined Suntrust Bank as a Personal Trust and Investment Officer, where they worked until 1998. From 1998 to 2017, Brigitte worked at Fulton County Government, holding different positions including Administrative Coordinator, Program Administrator/Project Officer, Community Research Officer, Assistant Administrative Chief, and finally as the Director of Customer Experience and Solutions.

Brigitte Bailey holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Public Management from Central Michigan University, which they completed between 2012 and 2014. Brigitte also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Spelman College, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their degrees, Brigitte holds certifications including the Customer Experience Certificate Program from Georgia Southern University (to be obtained in 2023) and the Certified Public Manager certification from the University of Georgia - Carl Vinson Institute of Government (obtained in 2017).
